Mary Congrove LISW
(She/Her) THERAPIST
Do you struggle to feel emotionally safe or open in your relationship with yourself or others? This can leads to disconnection, anxiety, and a sense of being misunderstood or alone. I've seen how hard it can be for someone to share their truth when they’ve been hurt, judged, or never learned how to express themselves clearly. As a therapist, I help people build emotional safety by teaching effective communication skills and guiding them toward greater self-awareness. I utilize my strengths, such as listening and genuine empathy, to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. When people feel safe, they can explore the parts of themselves they have kept hidden and start to build trust, both in themselves and in their relationships. I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples and families navigate mental health challenges. I earned my undergraduate degree from Ohio University and a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. I have completed Gottman Level 1 and Level 2 training and enjoy working with couples and families incorporating Gottman Method strategies. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing psychosis, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am certified to provide EMDR therapy online for people located in Ohio.
